I've been going to Capra and training with Thomas in the small group classes for over 2 years. I'm generally a very fit person and I've gone to probably 10 personal trainers over my life. The progress I've made at Capra has taking my other adventurous activities to the next level. Thomas is extremely skilled at creating programs that are purpose-made to my fitness goals and my personality. Weaknesses I've had in climbing and aerial acrobatics are now a strength. When I'm preparing for endurance activities, I now feel exceptionally well prepared. What I've struggled in the past with other trainers, is that I need an intellectually challenging and fun workout to push myself to the max. Thomas understood that right away, and has delivered just that over the last 2 years! He brings the best energy. I often don't even realize the class is over and I just wanna keep going!

I'm taking the small group classes that have 4 people max in the group. It's a great group of people with lots of positive attitude. Everyone is working on their own program but I also feel a great sense of community since we all cheer each other on, as we're working towards our goals.

I never trained calisthenics before Capra, but when I held my first free-standing handstand for 8 seconds, I felt that I needed to write a review. I probably should have written it when I was able to do 3 pull-ups in a row!

Going to Capra is my must-have morning ritual. I will navigate the rest of my schedule to make sure that I get the best out of my session.

Thomas is great. After training with him for a few months, I’m seeing real progress, feeling stronger, and enjoying the workouts. He creates a fun and inviting atmosphere to push hard. Thomas is also smart and uses his knowledge of biomechanics/physiology to work with preexisting issues and prevent injury. Highly recommend

I am so grateful to have found Capra! My coach Matt is amazing, he is extremely knowledgeable and challenges me in every session. I have been going for a few months only and my progress is incredible.
My entire body feels much stronger, my balance has improved, as well as my form. Things that used to be really hard before feel much easier now.
Each session is different and more challenging, and the results keep on surprising me, in a good way. The group classes are great because you get a personalized workout and attention while being in a group setting. I love the simplicity and efficiency of my workouts! ❤️❤️❤️

I feel lucky to have found Thomas Wood as a personal trainer. I've been an athlete my entire life but have never done exercises that strengthen my entire body the way we do in our workouts.
I work as a massage therapist and have sustained injuries to both my shoulders over the years. I was tentative about pushing them too hard during workouts. Thankfully Thomas is very knowledgeable in proper form and working appropriate muscles to my needs.
For the first time in two years I don't have any pain in my shoulders and my entire body feels stronger.
Lastly, I always have the feeling that Thomas really cares about my progress and he is a pleasure to work with.

The Capra team is fantastic. They have an option for small group classes in which you exercise with a group but every individual is on their own personalized program, like personal training. I’ve found it to be a great combination of customization and community. Thomas and Matt are knowledgeable on coaching everything from the basics to advanced calisthenics skills and are patient and encouraging to everyone. Thank you for making me the strongest I’ve ever been!

I can’t stress enough how awesome Capra’s approach to fitness is… whether it’s getting stronger, losing weight or building a better body for life, the most important thing about moving your body and working out is making sure you’re doing the right exercises with the proper body mechanics. As a practicing sports chiropractor and athlete, I can say that working out with Alex can help anyone with their health and fitness goals no matter what level, age or medical issue you might need to work with because he evaluates, checks in and modifies every exercise for what your body needs. Working mainly with your body weight is also a safe, effective and functional way to train. I’m constantly worried about people not being properly instructed with proper shoulder, back, knee and foot/ankle mechanics during exercise and daily life. Working out with poor mechanics is more harmful than good and bound to cause injury. Capra is focused on proper body mechanics as you train.

I started training with Matt at Capră several years ago. Matt’s helpful instruction and fun demeanor have encouraged me to keep going with personal training, even after I had to take extended time off to recover from skiing injuries. If I feel any pain from my knee during an exercise, Matt immediately has me stop and refocus with a different exercise, which I really appreciate! If you’re thinking about starting personal training classes, I definitely recommend Matt & Capră!
