Been working out at Fit House for over a year, personal training 3x per week with the owner, Reggie, and my goals and expectations have all been exceeded! I've worked out in many gyms and this is the cleanest I've ever seen, day in and day out. Reggie is constantly adding/removing and repairing equipment to improve the workout experience for his members. As a trainer, Reggie is very knowledgeable and deeply concerned with addressing goals but also takes the time to assess and work on improving overall musculoskeletal health. Every staff member I've met there is welcoming and knowledgeable. Come join!

I’m not a “gym guy”. My fitness goals can be described as “healthy dad bod”.

I belonged to an LA fitness in the past, but decided that working out with a home trainer was more for me.

Fit House opened around the corner from me though. And my trainer moved away. So even though I’m not that comfortable with gyms, I decided to give them a shot.

And I am so glad I did. I rarely have felt more welcomed by Reggie, Jan, and Paul (my trainer). The facilities and atmosphere are awesome. And living close, I walk by the gym often with a welcome “hello”.

This is a wonderful, independently owned local business. And I am glad I took the plunge with them.

I've been working out with Paul for about 2 months now. He is a fantastic trainer. His knowledge of exercise physiology is outstanding and he pushes you to get you results that you want. He cares about his clients and is very organized and keeps track of their progress meticulously . I've already gained muscle bulk and strength in this short time period. The vibe at Fit House is great and the owners Reggie and Yawn are super friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

Best gym I’ve ever found. The trainers are incredible. Have been working out with Reggie for a year and I’m in the best shape of my life. Has all the equipment you could want but still feels like an intimate gym experience. Was at Equinox before and I’ll never go back.

This gym is perfectly adequate. It’s not super crowded in the day, but it’s on the smaller side. Unfortunately, a lot of the equipment is old and outdated, but there is pretty much everything there you could need. A/C either wasn’t on or was used sparingly the times I visited. Usually just 1 big fan and the doors were kept open. I can’t imagine how that would be in the summer.

There is only one power rack and sometimes that area is used for people doing other exercises (e.g., a lady was doing core workouts right in front of the power rack and personal trainers would use the power rack area for athletic training sessions), so often times I had to wait to use it even though I came in off-peak times. The power rack/ cardio room area also seemed a little less clean/dustier than the main weightlifting section in the front.

I only signed up for a month, but I was automatically charged for the following month despite stating upfront that I’d only be doing 1 month. To their credit, they immediately refunded me that amount after I called and asked.

Only reason I gave a 3 out of 5 is because I felt the gym environment wasn’t too friendly. Anytime I had a question for one of the gym owners about where a piece of equipment was that was there the prior week, they made it seem like a hassle to respond. I guess they don’t want to give much information/help unless you pay for personal training services. It seemed like a lot of people came with a personal trainer or hired one from the gym. I’ve been to other gyms where personal training sessions are also offered but the vibe is a lot friendlier for regular gym goers. If you don’t care about the vibe or know your way around a gym without need for questions, then this gym is perfectly fine.

Great gym w very positive energy and top notch trainers and staff. Has all the equipment you would ever need including a variety of different types of bars, modern handles and attachments for cable work, some metabolic conditioning items like a sled and assault bikes, and some unique and rare machines like a free trainer and reverse hyper. Highly recommend

Not a great experience.

The few times that I tried to schedule privates, the owner was flakey, balancing too much during the “private”, and somewhat disrespectful of boundaries.

Also, inappropriately had his 8-year-old son literally trailing us thru the whole workout - dangerous and very odd considering the gun blasts hip hop with tons of profanity. His son also wanted fins of attention during the private.

The ambience is definitely a bit chaotic, and often the music is way too loud. It was hard to even hear the training at times without being yelled at. Hard-hitting hip-hop and foul language is not necessarily for everyone.

Lastly: the building is quite old, circa 1970’s. Which is not charming in that the A/C is older and does not properly generate cool air - a must for any decent gym charging for use - but especially in So Cal with temperatures at 101.
When asked if the A/C could get any colder, was told that most clients were fine with it and “a little sweat is healthy”. See: Gaslighting.

Plenty of other nice spaces in the area respectful of clientele that I recommend checking out first.

Thank you.
